The famous raw wood regions in Northern Vietnam include Lang Son, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, among others. Besides exploiting natural forests, the area of planted forests has significantly increased. In addition, wood species such as Pine, Styrax, and Magnolia have relatively high harvest yields, serving various wood production and processing industries.

According to Vietnam Yellow Pages statistics, plywood manufacturing and trading enterprises in the North are mainly concentrated in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, and Yen Bai. These regions benefit from a strategic location near major timber-producing areas such as northern mountainous provinces, ensuring a stable and accessible supply of raw materials.
TIn the North, plywood production benefits from high-quality raw materials with a wood density averaging 600-700 kg/CBM. These materials primarily use Acacia, Eucalyptus, or Mixed Hardwood cores. They are competitively priced and known for their superior quality. Major plywood factories in Ha Noi, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and Thai Nguyen use advanced production technologies. This allows them to produce large quantities of high-quality plywood. Their products meet the strict quality standards of international markets such as the USA, South Korea, Malaysia, India, and Thailand. This positions the North as a reliable supplier in the global plywood industry.
